LGBTQ+ Pride Month Art Exhibit - Call for Entries

LGBTQ+ Pride Month Art Exhibit – Call for Entries

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Artists with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and LGBTQ+ Allies are encouraged to submit artworks for “The Art of Inclusion” – Pride exhibition in Summer 2021.

We are seeking artwork that expresses authentic and diverse viewpoints from the LGBTQ+ experience. Artists are encouraged to show us what being an LGBTQ+ person with IDD or ASD means to them and express what their Pride looks like.

In the spirit of inclusion, this call is open to individuals of all ages. While we welcome all subject matter, it is important that adults and guardians understand the content of the final exhibit may include work that is mature in nature. We will strive to find the right balance between freedom of expression and age appropriate inclusivity. We encourage the parents/guardians of non-adult artists to preview the exhibit prior to their children viewing it with them. In this way, each parent may decide individually what they want their children to view.

If you do not self-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning or Intersex but are a Caregiver or an Ally, and/or are a person with IDD or ASD and adhere to the exhibition theme you may also submit artwork for consideration.
