The opening reception date is May 2, 6-8 pm at the Morris Arts Council Gallery, 14 Maple Ave., Morristown NJ. WAE Beyond: A Members’ Club will launch a six-session INTRODUCTION TO WEAVING workshop beginning Thursday evening, February 23, 6 to 8 pm and continuing each Thursday evening until March 29. Students will learn basic weaving techniques on a table loom with the ultimate goal of creating a finished scarf. The classes are co-taught by Margaret Bodell and Cynthia Alberto, artists who are passionate about sharing their love of fabrics and the creative process with individuals of all ability levels. Weaving is an excellent way for individuals to increase their motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
