Hagit Oren, Judaic Coordinator organized a Zoom Shabbat for the twelve (12) homes.  A delicious Shabbat Dinner was distributed to each home as a  “Thank You” to the Direct Support Professionals and to and be enjoyed by the residents.  The meal was sponsored by a dedicated JSDD Donor.  All the residents were excited to see each other on the Zoom Shabbat gathering!      

Mindy and Dean Baker’s sister lives in the Millburn Group Home.  To show their appreciation to the staff for their amazing commitment during this pandemic,  for the outstanding care they are giving the residents a dinner was dropped off.  They were able to see their sister through the window!

The Livingston Group Home girls were very engaged in creating their masterpieces while at home during the quarantine! 

JSDD’s Parsippany Group Home received a donation of N95 Masks, monogoogles, and boxes of gloves from the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.  It is incredible how the community is pulling together to take care of their own!  

 Philly Pretzel Factory in Clifton, New Jersey generously made a donation for the JSDD Direct Support Professionals – DSP of freshly baked delicious pretzels!   JSDD would not be able to carry out our mission without our dedicated and compassionate DSP’s.  They continue to provide around the clock care and support to the residents in our homes during these unprecedented times. The Pretzel Factory was thankful for the continued support from the community allowing them to keep their doors open, so they wanted to give back!  It was important for them to support the workers on the front lines of the battle of the Coronavirus.
