Tonight is the night! WEST AFRICAN DRUM, DANCE and SONG with MARAFANYI JSDD’s Wellness, Arts, Enrichment (WAE) Center concludes the 7th season of its Global Beat Series with the energetic and engaging West African drumming, dancing and song of MARAFANYI. The production is presented FREE of charge, in cooperation with the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, where the production will take place at 7 PM on Thursday, October 4.   “Folklore and Fantasy” Performance Brings Near East Dance, Music and Myth to Life at Luna Stage on September 9 JSDD’s Wellness, Arts, Enrichment (WAE) Center launches the 7th season of its Global Beat Series with “Folklore and Fantasy,” a performance of dance, music and myth from the Near East by Mosaic Dance Theater Company (MDTC). All of us at JSDD’s WAE Center are very excited for, and proud of, our very talented Eva H. Her art work is on exhibit in a one woman show which opened at the Natural Living Contemporary Art Museum in the city of Dai, Yunnan Province, China, on July 29. These images, alongside a photo of Eva’s interview with the Chinese Press, are examples of the work that Eva has been creating while visiting her artist father in China this Spring and Summer arts and creating art work in his studio. Some of her work has already been sold. We are looking forward to hearing all about Eva’s travels and experiences when she returns to us this Fall.
