Each piece in this large scale mixed-media exhibit of collages and portraits was created by a team of WAE Center members in collaboration with lead artist and facilitator Tim Folzenlogen. West Orange – The WAE Center is pleased to announce that several works of art from its Chairs of Inclusion project (www.chairsofinclusion.org) are now on exhibit at the Rutgers NJMS Fall Arts Festival at the Rutgers NJ Medical School first floor gallery, 185 South Orange Ave, Newark, NJ. The exhibit features two of Lisa Ficarelli-Halpern’s “Dialogue of Four Chairs” paintings along with Yvette Lucas’ “Care Chair” in a glass showcase. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm and the Arts Festival opening reception is Thursday, October 16, 4-6pm. JSDD’s WAE (Wellness, Arts, Enrichment) Center will be a visible component in this February’s Shabbat Shalem observances at eight Metrowest organizations and synagogues. Shabbat Shalem, Shabbat made “whole and complete” by the inclusion of all of its members, is celebrated nationally during Jewish Disability Awareness Month each February.   Artwork created by WAE Center members will be displayed as part of B’nai Or’s “The Spirit of the Human Family” exhibit, which is co-sponsored by the Morris Area Clergy Council. The show opens on Feb. 23 with a community-wide reception, 5-6:30 p.m., followed by an interfaith Purim celebration.
