Ginny K. a longtime employee of the WAE Center is moving  to the WAE Center Workability Program exclusively and will no longer be working in the WAE Center.  A traditional send off at the WAE Center includes a “circle” where everyone wishes to share their thoughts and appreciation with the departing person.  Ginny was grateful for stories and love she was given!

We had another really nice visit to Montclair State University’s George Segal Gallery (https://www.montclair.edu/galleries/).  The trip was for the members of our Photo Club and was led by our newest Art Facilitator, Bill.  The exhibition featured the work of MSU Professor Klaus Schnitzer, who will be retiring this year after 50 years of employment.  Also highlighted were contributions from his students from over the years, spanning all the way back to 1970’s graduates.  We were met by our friend Adam who was really engaging the members during the tour; asking them what sounds they were “hearing” from the photos, what smells they were “smelling”… it was really wonderful.  A nice added treat was that one of the contributing artists, Anne-Marie […]

A  great visit to our friend Susanna at the SMI Gallery to see the GOOD WORKS 2020 Exhibition.  The members got to enjoy the artwork of 28 participating artists, including our very own Yvette Lucas who had two pieces in the show.  Faye who is an Art Facilitator in the WAE Center’s Art Studio, joined for the first time a day trip to go out and see art.
